Jah
Artist
Meet Jah, a rising star in the world of Hip-Hop, Rap, and Drill. Jumping into music between 2019 and 2020, he initially focused on writing lyrics. It wasn't until his crew from UO boosted his confidence that he truly embraced the stage in 2020. His first gig was a turning point, sealing his ambition to build a lasting career in music, especially alongside his UO mates.
Musically, Jah has eclectic tastes, spanning from old-school genres to Drill, RnB, Hip-Hop, and even a newfound interest in country music, particularly Morgan Wallen. His sound draws inspiration from American drill artists like Sheff G and Sleepy Hollow, known for their chilled approach to the drill genre. Though he admits his style can be a bit rough and sometimes out of flow, the energy is always high-speed and hyped.
The stage name "Jah" originates from a gaming nickname his friends gave him while playing Call of Duty. Shortening his actual name, Elijah, to its first three letters, Jah turned it into an artist name that he's now been using for about two years. Beyond the mic and stage, Jah aims to continually improve and resonate with fans who appreciate his unique blend of energy and flow.
